hannoverimpuls GmbH is a joint venture by state capital Hannover and the Hannover region with the task to actively promote business growth in the region and provide strategic guidance for its subsidiaries, as well as invest in marketing and tourism. Business development efforts focus on six industries especially: automotive, energy, information and communication technologies, health care, creative industry, and production technology. hannoverimpuls operations include competitions, public funding programmes, start-up seminars, financial investments via two funds, initiatives for the promotion of technology, and collaborative Projects.

In the 120 years of its existence, which started with the publishing house of the „Hannoverscher Anzeiger“ newspaper, the Madsack Media Group has evolved into a major publishing company. Today, Madsack owns 18 regional daily newspapers and over 30 advertising papers in nine federal states.
