Profession: Fish Veterinarian
"Most students don’t set out to become fish veterinarians." says Felix Teitge, a PhD student, Department of Fish Pathology and Fish Farming. The profession is still not well known, even though there is a huge demand for fish doctors in Germany. All fish farms that breed fish as a food product depend on them, not to mention aquarists, and private fish keepers. At the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, an entire department is devoted to the health of fish.
